    From an early age, nature became Deans’ closest friend. He spent every moment he could, hiking and observing the intricacies of her light and form. Dean seeks to achieve abstract quality using recognizable shapes. He works plain aire, relying on good memory and photos for minimal reference. Know for strong textures and saturated colors.

  • David Meikle

    David has created the images that are seen on the “Welcome to Utah” billboards. He is the Art Director for the University of Utah Marketing & Communications. Creating illustrations has always been the thing that excited him most, and growing up in Utah has given him a love for Utah landscapes.

  • Tyler Huntzinger

    The expansive but obscured vistas, flatted silhouettes, and melted forms of his paintings speak to the longing for connection so often associated with our increasingly technologically isolated society. Tyler strives for an effortless look to the deep constructions with effects similar to those in the ceramic Shino glazes.

  • Carel Brest van Kempen

    Carel grew up in Emigration Canyon, which sparked his interest in the natural world and animals in particular. His incredibly detailed wildlife pieces are acclaimed by art collectors and biologists alike, and have been shown all over the world.

  • M’Lisa Paulsen

    Raised in Salt Lake City by a family of artists, M’Lisa has made a name for herself in the Utah art scene. An active member of the Spring City artists community, her works highlight the beauty of Utah’s rural landscapes and historic buildings.

  • Molly Neves

    Born and raised in Utah, Molly has two degrees in Art Education and fell in love with landscape painting while leading several place-based art education projects. She feels most at home in front of an easel outdoors, painting many of her local landscapes en plein air.

  • Stephanie Swift

    Combining her graphic design background with her interest in documenting old buildings and signs, Stephanie’s vibrant artwork captures local places that make Utah unique. If there’s a spot that you’re nostalgic for or a regular at, she just might have a print of it.

  • Jamie Love

    Jamie’s experience in design shines in the composition of her works, which vary from landscapes to lush produce. Her skillful technique turns simple images into paintings that come alive and invite you into them.

  • Juan Gasca

    Originally from Juanajuato, Mexico, Juan’s style is characterized by abstract geometry and bright colors. He draws inspiration from the Mexican Geometrism movement in the 70’s and American Abstract Expressionism of the 40’s and 50’s.

  • Jenni Thompson

    Born and raised in Utah as a 4th generation artist, Jenni grew up surrounded by art. Her style is characterized by exaggerated color and heavy pigment, while her inspiration is drawn from the geometry of buildings.

  • Matt Green

    Matt’s abstract pieces focus on how shape and color interact with each other, starting in disarray and concluding in organization. Wielding his background in ceramics, he builds deeply textured, multilayered works of discarded fabric, newsprint and paint.

    Emily’s style utilizes classic painting techniques as well as mixed media, with an emphasis on color and light. Her artwork has been featured in various local publications, and her fashion designs have gained her global acclaim.

  • Jodi Steen

    Inspired by her travels, Jodi combines bold lines and brush strokes to bring out the unique colors that lie within the landscapes she visits. The shape of her canvases serve as a window into the vibrant world of her artwork, stretching from local landscapes to national parks.

  • Nuha Moretz

    Nuha strives to evoke appreciation for the harmony between humanity and nature in her contemporary abstract pieces. Her works have been featured internationally, fostering global connections and reflecting her diverse cultural influences.

  • Timothy Padilla

    For as long as he’s painted with oils, Timothy has painted en plein because he enjoys being in the landscape while he paints. Trained under many artists with varying techniques, he’s honed in his style to create detailed, colorful landscapes.

  • Kate Bruce

    Kate is a contemporary expressionist painter who creates expressive paintings inspired by nature. She works in a loose and intuitive style, and is known for her florals and use of vibrant colors.

  • B. Rex Stewart

    Born and raised in Southern Utah, B. Rex employs a limited palette, thick paint and bold brushwork to create plein air paintings that are more poetic than journalistic. He paints and draws daily, which he considers a sacred and personal act pivotal to his identity.

  • Bruce Hucko

    Bruce is a freelance photographer, author, art educator and radio producer, whose work is inspired by the peoples and landscapes of the American West. His photos have been featured in various books, calendars, and projects with the National Park Service.

  • Jason Christensen

    An established landscape and nature photographer, Jason seeks to capture uniquely perfect images where viewers can experience the emotion of the moment. He prefers the beauty of natural light and uses no digital enhancement, so “what he saw is what you get.”

  • Don Prys

    A true jack-of-all-trades, Don’s work spans from dramatic contemporary landscape paintings to glass blown pendants and anything in between. With his hard work and creativity, Don has made a name for himself as an artist and the owner of multiple galleries since 1983.

  • Tiffany Hassing

    Tiffany is a Utah native known for her whimsical folk paintings of cozy cityscapes. Her playful style employs bright colors and repeating patterns to create scenes that walk the line between imaginary and familiar.

  • James Gunter

    Inspired by the similarities between the human form and natural world, James’ landscapes evoke curiosity and connection. “Involvement with nature opens up new pathways and, in a way, can even begin to open up a whole universe.”

  • Don Miskin

    Don was raised in Northern Utah and after decades of work elsewhere in advertising and design, he returned to Utah to paint full time. To capture his love of western landscapes, he strives to slow down, focusing on the layers of space and light interact.
